BLC Community User Policy

Beginning December 1, 2006, all community users of Bethany Lutheran College’s Memorial Library will be required to present to library staff a valid picture ID to use the internet. Users under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian 18 years of age. The parent/guardian is required to monitor their child's use of the internet. Each user is allowed 1 hour of computer time per day. One PC located on the main level of the library near the entrance has been designated for public use and internet access.

In order to allow maximum use of the computers for the students, faculty and staff of Bethany Lutheran College, community users are allowed internet access from 5pm – 6:30pm Sunday through Thursday when classes are in session and between 3pm and 4:30pm Monday through Friday when classes are not in session (holidays, winter break, summer, etc.).

Study Rooms

The study rooms are available for student use only. Exceptions may be made if you contact a librarian ahead of time to arrange for the use of one.

Borrowing/Usage of Non-Book Materials

Community users are responsible for providing their own materials and supplies for working on school or personal work projects.  If an office equipment or supply item is not located on the table next to the photocopier, the library is not required to provide that item. These items include but are not limited to: construction paper, scissors, glue, markers, or other project related materials.

Printing

Printing from computers or copies made by a community user on standard 8 1/2” x 11” paper will be charged $.25/page.  Other paper sizes are $.50/page and you are required to ask for assistance at the circulation desk for the use of other paper sizes. Payment for all copies can be made at the circulation desk.
